Room 402, Monday morning before classes

It was early, and Sam didn't have classes on Mondays, so she was, of course, fast asleep.

"Mmmm . . . you are so hot . . . I think I'm in love . . . you want to . . . okay, just pass the gravy. . . ."

"We had to Zaplook 'rue' and everything!" Freddie said. "I dangled from wires in his house! You smooshed tapenade in his face!"

"Is this for a sketch idea?"

Sam blinked. "Oh my gosh, Freddie, she really doesn't know." She shrugged. "Well, no big loss."

Freddie looked over at Sam, and then back to the screen at Carly.

"Uh. Kay," he said. "So... You and Spencer planning a big Thanksgiving?"

"Yeah, because I can trust Spencer with cooking a Turkey," Carly scoffed.

"Hey, maybe it'll be the one time he doesn't set anything on fire."

"Hey... what are we doing about Thanksgiving," Freddie said, looking over at Sam. "I mean, what with the whole portal system being a nub and all."

"I was planning to eat turkey not cooked by my mom."

"Which is different than most days how?" Freddie said, because it was a really valid point.

"It'll be more seasonally appropriate?" Sam suggested.

Spencer had joined Carly in the video chat. "It's amazing," he said.

"I know," said Carly. "It's like we might as well not even be here any more."

Freddie side-eyed the screen.

"Hey, she eats a lot of turkey, that's all I'm saying," he said, mildly defensively.

Carly pointed. "But look at you two, being the two who are two!"

Sam rolled her eyes. "I have to talk to somebody when you're not around."

"Two of what?" Freddie said, totally not getting it.

"And people think I'm the dumb one," Sam said.

Freddie just pouted.

"See what happens when I'm left alone with her?" he half-whined.

"I'm a bad influence," Sam said proudly.

No, it didn't make a damn lick of sense.

"I'm not the only one not following this, right?" Freddie said.

"I think he must still have the brain of a frog," Carly remarked.

"Does he still have the leeeeegs of a frog?" Spencer added, being Spencer.

"Shush," Carly said.

"Nah, his legs are scrawny, but they're not froggy."

Because it was important that Carly and Spencer know that Sam knew that.

"They are not," Freddie said. "I just have a smaller bone structure. It's genetic. So there."

Oh so mature, Benson.

"Sure," said Sam. "A scrawny bone structure."

"Your... face is scrawny," Freddie retorted.

Sam smirked. "Awwww. Fweddie's trying to insult me!"

"Well it's not like it's easy to do," Freddie said. "You make it so difficult!"

"Because I'm so awesome," Sam said.

"Yeah, well... maybe that's exactly it," Freddie said, just sort of throwing up his hands.

Sam did a little happy dance.

"You know, if I didn't know better," Carly said, "I'd swear you two were dating."

Freddie's only reaction was to stare at the computer screen like Carly had sprouted a second head.

Sam had ceased her happy dance. "But you do know better," she said.

"Yes," Carly said quickly. "I know very better!"
